My name is Brendan, and I appreciate you giving me a moment of your time. 

There are few things in my life that mean as much to me as opportunities to create, and I intend to take every one of them I can get. I know that my skills can be an asset to the right team, and that my love of creating something can help to build up the plans and dreams of others as well. I've been a writer for as long as I can remember; my first side hustle was writing papers for college students while I was in middle school (don't tell anyone). I've had a few pieces published since, and I'm working on a novel. 

My other great love has been on the silver screen. I grew up on classic movies across many genres and styles, and eventually I came to realize that the thing that united them was their editing and the power it lent them. It was not until I started getting interested in movie trailers, though, and how people responded to those, that I began editing for myself. Pulling music and movie clips together into TV spots and trailers, sometimes for the movies they belong to and other times as 'ads' for stories I wrote, became an enduring hobby.

I realized that I could translate the skills I had begun to develop with it into a career, and I embarked on this quest to do so. I pursued and achieved a degree in Digital Media Production at Eastern Michigan University, where I met many wonderful people and learned a variety of skills inherent to every aspect of pre and post-production, as well as filming-- I even wrote and co-directed my own short film. 

I have been fortunate to find a number of opportunities since obtaining my degree in 2022-- commissions by folks I watch on YouTube and Twitch to edit their videos for them, as well as volunteer work and the success of personal passion projects. I have also had the good fortune of working with the fierce and brilliant folks at Nakee Butter, soon to be the top snack brand in the world. I helped them develop their digital marketing and ambassador programs. 

Through all of this, I've found experience with a variety of programs from the Adobe Creative Suite to Word and Excel, as well as ChatGPT and other productivity tools. This site will be a showcase of what I can do and how much I can contribute to your brand, company and business.
